Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it .
Note God challenges us to prove him; or put him to the test. These three things keep me going related to the proving of God. First he has been faithful in the past. N if he could help the people in the past he can help me. Second he is faithful even now. Those folks in the past trusted him past n present even when they could not see his hands. they knew they could trust his character. Third if God has been faithful in the past in mighty ways for his people. N if I and they can trust his character even now though I may not always see his hand. Then I can trust him for the future because of these truths, because he knows the future n he loves me.
